It was a record year for international travelers as well with 6.5 million visitors. LAX was the second busiest airport in the U.S. in 2014. Atlanta is #1 and LAX beat out Chicago O’Hare to place second in 2014.
And if you’re looking to spend your hotel points, it would pay to book as early as you can. Hotel occupancy in Los Angeles was up a whopping 79 percent for the year and the demand for hotels is exceeding the supply of rooms.
