FlyerTalk member kimchi39 recently posted a story about his unconventional marriage proposal. He convinced 100 New Yorkers to write a message to convince his girlfriend to marry him and photographed them with their message written on a dry erase board. It took him three days to get 100 messages and he found people in different parts of the city to help him. Kimchi39 chose the W Seoul to stage his proposal and his Platinum SPG elite status came in handy since he was upgraded to a suite that he says was the perfect setting for his proposal. He printed out the pictures and placed them around the room. After a romantic dinner in the hotel restaurant, his girlfriend accompanied him to the suite where he played the video to her and proposed. His “100 messages from 100 people” concept worked and his girlfriend said yes.
