Delta SkyMiles has increased the number of Preferred Economy Seats that are reserved for Diamond, Platinum and Gold Medallion members on Delta and Delta Connection flights. Eligible elite members can choose from Preferred seating, which now includes more aisle and window seats, exit row seats, seats with more legroom and those near the front of the plane.

Bottom line: With more coach seats designated as Preferred Economy Seats, elite members who don’t receive an upgrade or book a last-minute ticket have a better chance of securing either a seat with more legroom or an aisle or window seat in the front of the plane.
