Book a British Airways flight and complete your travel on or before Jan. 29, 2010 and you can bring a companion for free on your next flight. Registration at www.ba.com/companion is required and the offer is only open to Executive Club members residing in the U.S., Canada, Bermuda, Caribbean or Latin America. To receive the companion ticket, you must book a roundtrip transatlantic ticket in World Traveller (Y, B, H), World Traveller Plus (W, E), Club World (J, C, D, R) or First (F, A) fares.

When redeeming the companion ticket, travel must be booked on the following British Airways published fares: F, A, J, C, D, R, W, E, Y, B, H, K, M between Jan. 4 and July 30, 2010 for travel from Jan. 11 through Dec. 15, 2010. Both the member and companion must pay all applicable taxes and fees.

Bottom line: You won’t receive a companion ticket if you purchase a discounted British Airways fare, so this offer may not be useful to Executive Club members who are only interested in purchasing the cheapest fares. But if you fly in World Traveller class or higher, you can receive a companion ticket that can be booked in any class of service to any British Airways destination for a flight next year.
