Effective Oct. 31, 2008, Midwest removed the option to redeem miles for Midwest Airlines Vacations awards or to transfer miles into Amtrak points. Members can continue to redeem miles for awards on Amtrak, starting at 7,500 miles for a roundtrip unreserved rail ticket.

Also, the mileage for Premier Pet awards for pets in the cabin or below cabin has increased to 20,000 miles. So if you plan on traveling with your pooch, take note of the 5,000-mile increase.
