If you are planning on taking any mileage runs between now and the end of the year, keep in mind that Delta is reviving the threshold bonus and offering up to 85,000 bonus miles to members who reach 175,000 Medallion Qualifying Miles (MQMs) by Dec. 31, 2008. With 85,000 miles, you can fly first class to Hawaii on a SkySaver award (75,000 miles) or fly in coach to India or Sri Lanka (80,000 miles).

Medallion members who earn 100,000 MQMs will receive a threshold bonus of 15,000 bonus miles. Earn 125,000 MQMs and you’ll be given an additional 20,000 bonus miles. Members who reach 150,000 MQMs can choose between 25,000 bonus miles or a membership to Crown Room Club for one year. Earn 175,000 MQMs and you’ll receive an additional 25,000 bonus miles, or other exclusive gifts.
