Citi Cards and American Airlines are celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Citi/AAdvantage co-branded credit card with a variety of promotions and special offers. Cardmembers can bid on 20 unique experiences and items at an online auction, including lifetime AAdvantage Gold status, a super screen outdoor theater and box suites at the American Airlines Center for a Dallas Mavericks or Dallas Stars game or the American Airlines Arena for a Miami Heat game. Ten experiences are available for bidding via the Citi/AAdvantage credit card, and the other 10 are available for bidding with AAdvantage miles. New cardmembers who sign up for the Citi/AAdvantage card between now and Sept. 30, 2007, can earn up to 40,000 AAdvantage bonus miles. Cardholders will earn 20,000 miles when they make $750 in purchases within four months of becoming a member. Those who make $10,000 in purchases within the first year will earn an additional 10,000 bonus miles and those who charge $10,000 to their card in the second year will earn another 10,000 bonus miles.
