United Airlines is reducing the number of miles required for a Saver Award on flights from the U.S. (excluding Hawaii) or Canada and Beijing or Shanghai for a limited time. Mileage Plus members can redeem 45,000 miles instead of the usual 60,000 for roundtrip travel in coach class. The reduced awards are only available for travel on United, Ted and United Express from March 28 through June 30, 2007. Only award tickets booked online from now until the end of June qualify for the offer which is limited to Mileage Plus members residing in the United States (excluding Hawaii), Canada and China.
