If you’re looking for privileges just for being a member of a frequent flyer program, look no further than SAS EuroBonus. The Scandinavian program for years has offered its members discounts and package specials, while competitors in North America have all but forgotten the little perks that used to come with membership.
Right now, EuroBonus members have a slew of discount opportunities.
Through May 31, for example, EuroBonus members can take SEK/NOK/DKK 50 (EUR 5 in Finland) off meals during stays at Best Western hotels in the Nordic countries. Make sure to present your EuroBonus card at check-in to receive your restaurant voucher.
Even if you’re staying home, there are deals. Film buffs in Sweden can order the Pedro Almodovar Special Collection DVD box set for SEK 595 including VAT and postage (recommended retail price SEK 745). The set contains Talk to Her (Hable Con Ella), All About My Mother (Todo sobre me Madre), Live Flesh (Carne Tremula) and Kika. The films are in the original Spanish with Swedish sub-titles.
Or get in shape with the Blossom Fitness Yoga DVD (Swedish text). SAS EuroBonus members can buy the DVD for SEK 195 including VAT and postage (recommended retail price SEK 249).
Readers can take advantage of special rates on major magazines. Members in Finland and Sweden can subscribe to a choice of five Swedish and International magazines at discounted rates, for a combination of points and cash. For 1,000 EuroBonus points and a cash payment of between SEK 149.50 and 272, members can receive Batnytt, Cosmopolitan, Golf Digest, Vi Bataegare or Residence.
Also until May 31, EuroBonus members can enjoy a discounted travel package to the newly opened Radisson SAS Hotel at Disneyland Resort, Paris. A two-night stay at this hotel bordering the park and overlooking the 27-hole Golf Disneyland course can be yours for as little as EUR 101 per person/per night.
A two-day Hopper ticket is included in the price of your stay. Make the most of your free, unlimited access to attractions, shows and parades as you move freely between the Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios Park.
In addition, members will receive a 10 percent discount at the nearby La Vallee Outlet Shopping Village.
All these offers and more are spelled out in more details on the SAS Web site at http://www.Scandinavian.net
