You may have noticed a slight change at Northwest WorldPerks. The program recently decided to change the names for its two categories of awards. What used to be called the Standard Award is now the “PerkSaver” award. And the venerable RuleBuster has become the “PerkPass” award.

Earth-shattering news? Hardly. But we applaud the efforts of whatever marketing team managed to convince the financially strapped carrier that the names needed changing at this point in time.
