Australian business travelers heading to Europe can now benefit from a customized loyalty program that rewards companies as well as individual employees: “Partner Plus Benefit” from Lufthansa German Airlines.

Under the program, companies accrue points towards their Partner Plus Benefit account, while individual employees accrue points towards a personal Lufthansa Miles & More account, or towards their existing frequent flyer program held with any other Star Alliance partner airline.

“Up to this point, Lufthansa has enjoyed a strong reputation among Australian leisure travelers,” said Gabriela Ahrens, General Manager, Australia Lufthansa. “Our focus moving forward is to grow our share of the corporate travel market and as such we are introducing Partner Plus Benefit to welcome and encourage trial by Australian companies and business travelers.”

The program has already been introduced in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Membership to Partner Plus Benefit and Miles & More is free and points collected are valid for three years. Credits can be redeemed for business class lounge access vouchers, or flights and upgrades on any Lufthansa-operated flights.

The rewards are immediate, with just one return economy flight to Europe earning the company enough points to redeem a business-class lounge access voucher.

Partner Plus Benefit is open to all Australian companies, except those that already hold a global contract with Lufthansa. The program operates via a Web-based system, giving one nominated administrator per company 24-7 access to redeem points and track the account balance.
