Booking award travel can often be a difficult and frustrating process, but HawaiianMiles members may be able to breathe a sigh of relief, because now there are three levels of online E-Awards: SuperSaver, Saver, and Anytime.
The new mid-level Saver Award provides members with an additional booking option, which may increase the possibility of getting a desired award. HawaiianMiles members will now have more flexibility when booking award travel because E-Award levels are now combinable. Now you can mix and match SuperSaver, Saver and Anytime award levels to find the seats you are looking for while still maintaining some level of frugality with your miles.
For example, if a SuperSaver award seat is available on the day you wish to depart, but not on the day you wish to return, you can combine a SuperSaver seat and a Saver seat for a roundtrip itinerary. In the past, both departing and returning flights had to be booked at the same award level.
HawaiianMiles members may also be pleased to know that one-way award travel between the Mainland U.S. and Hawaii has now been reduced to a fraction of the usual mileage requirement. SuperSaver interisland one-way Coach Class awards are now 5,000 miles, Saver awards are 7,500 miles and AnyTime awards are 10,000 miles. SuperSaver Mainland U.S. to Hawaii one-way Coach-Class awards are now 17,500 miles, Saver awards are 25,000 miles and AnyTime awards are 35,000 miles.
