Gulf Air Frequent flyer members with an American Express Gold or Platinum card issued in the Middle East are in luck.

From now until March 31, you can receive an upgrade to first class when you buy a business-class ticket, or you can receive a free companion ticket when you buy a first- or business-class ticket with your AMEX Card at a Gulf Air Travel office.

No card? American Express is currently offering an incentive to members of Middle East-based frequent flyer programs who apply for the American Express Gold Card: Gulf Air Frequent flyer members will receive 6,000 miles upon application approval.
