US Airways Dividend Miles Offers Big Miles Toward Elite Status

Here’s some good news from US Airways: To mark the 20th anniversary of Dividend Miles, they’re throwing some elite-qualifying miles your way. Of course, historians will note that Dividend Miles itself is not 20 years old. Rather, they’re marking the 20th anniversary of frequent flyer programs for the various airlines that eventually became US Airways – Piedmont, US Air and PSA.

Members can qualify by purchasing roundtrip tickets at www.usairways.com and flying US Airways through Feb. 16. Every time they fly, members earn bonus miles towards Preferred status – up to 20,000 total. Here’s how it works:

1st purchase = 2,000 bonus miles toward Preferred status
2nd purchase = 3,000 bonus miles toward Preferred status
3rd purchase = 4,000 bonus miles toward Preferred status
4th purchase = 5,000 bonus miles toward Preferred status
5th purchase = 6,000 bonus miles toward Preferred status

So, five purchases equals 20,000 bonus miles toward Preferred status.
