Need another reason to be “elite?” Beginning Jan. 16, AAdvantage Platinum and AAdvantage Gold members can enjoy complimentary upgrades to the next class of service when traveling on a full-fare Economy-Class ticket within North America (including the U.S., Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean, The Bahamas and Bermuda) and between the U.S. and Central America — a benefit previously available only to AAdvantage Executive Platinum members.

Simply request the upgrade for you and a companion through the automated upgrade system when making your reservation. When your regular upgrade window opens (72 hours for AAdvantage Platinum, 24 hours for AAdvantage Gold), the AAdvantage system will automatically process your upgrade request if seating is available.

Remember, through March 31, AAdvantage Gold and Platinum membership can be purchased for $395 or $595, respectively.
