The next time you closely review your Hilton HHonors statement, you’re likely to see that the program is no longer awarding members a 4,000-point bonus after your fourth stay in each quarter. We had commented earlier that this bonus, while rewarding, was not as much a carrot to convince us to meet that threshold as HHonors probably intended. With 20,000-mile awards disappearing from airline programs, we aren’t all that surprised that the hotel programs are cleaning up a few loose ends up as well. Honestly, while we hate to lose anything, as long as Hilton is able to continue its Double Dip, we can forgive this indiscretion.
