Delta Air Lines has enhanced its online 800-Mile Segment Upgrade option for Medallion-level SkyMiles members. Medallion members can log in at http://www.delta.com and check upgrade availability prior to booking a flight. In the same transaction, members can confirm an upgrade, select a seat and purchase a ticket.

No doubt, the opportunity to view upgrade award availability before booking a flight will be much appreciated. And members will also be able to view waitlist status as well as see the number of points required to upgrade each flight segment.
