SkyMiles has introduced a new service that will help take some of the edge off those last-minute drives to the airport. Medallion members can now check-in for Delta flights remotely, up to 30 minutes prior to a flight, using any of the following: www.delta.com, a toll-free telephone line, a wireless Palm Powered hand-held, or a Web-enabled phone.

SkyMiles Virtual Check-In, which has been available for some time in select East Coast markets, is now being expanded to all U.S. domestic markets, including San Juan, St. Thomas, Hawaii and Alaska. To check in remotely, Medallion members must limit themselves to carry-on baggage and possess an electronic ticket. Remote check-in cannot be used on Delta Shuttle, Delta Express and Delta Connection flights.
