Dividend Miles members set a new charitable contribution record in 2001 — donating more than 75 million miles to The Make-A-Wish Foundation, the Save the Children Federation and the Salvation Army emergency relief fund.

US Airways donated another 5 million miles to The Salvation Army relief fund, which was established to provide travel assistance to family members of the victims of the Sept. 11 disaster. Since Sept. 11, 42 million miles have been donated to this fund and the fund will continue to accept donations through March 31.
