Delta has eliminated its small business program, Mind Your Own Business Travel (MYOBTravel), due to a decline in business travel. Effective immediately, businesses with outstanding reservations will need to contact the MYOBTravel partner (hotel, airline, car rental company) directly.

Delta has launched a new award program for small to medium-sized businesses called SkyBonus. Businesses can earn SkyBonus points for flights on Delta originating in the United States and redeem them for travel awards. Through July 31, when a business signs up for the program, Delta will award a 75-point sign-up bonus. In addition to this bonus, Delta is offering several promotions to celebrate the launch of the program. For example, SkyBonus members can earn 10 points each way in first or BusinessElite and five points each way in coach class for travel between New York and Phoenix, Los Angeles, Seattle, San Francisco, or between Boston and Los Angeles. On Delta Connection fights originating in either Des Moines, Iowa or Midland/Odessa, Texas, members earn 10 points per ticket.

Delta is also offering points on select international segments. Flights to Brussels and Frankfurt connecting via JFK earn 20 points for a return trip.

SkyBonus points are earned based on revenue spent. Members earn 20 points for each $1,000 spent when originating in either Atlanta or Salt Lake City and 50 points for each $1,000 spent from all other points of origination in the domestic United States, U.S. Virgin Islands or Puerto Rico. Points are calculated and reported online on a monthly basis. Therefore, if you are not originating in Atlanta or Salt Lake City, you would need to spend $15,000 to redeem a transpacific ticket in economy class or $60,000 to redeem a transatlantic or transpacific BusinessElite ticket. A one-year Crown Room Club Membership costs 1,250 points — meaning you would need to spend $25,000 at 50 points/$1,000 or $62,500 at 20 points/$1,000 to be able to claim this benefit.
