Delta SkyMiles members who complete a Hilton stay of two consecutive nights or more through Dec. 11, 2011 will earn 250 Medallion Qualification Miles (MQM) and double miles. You must be a Hilton HHonors member and select Fixed Miles or Variable Miles with Delta SkyMiles as your earning preference.

Bottom line: If you’re still a few miles short of requalifying for elite status, a two-night stay at Hilton can give you a small boost to elite, but be aware that the miles may not post in time to help with elite qualification. The fine print says to allow up to six weeks after the promotion has ended for the miles and MQMs to post to your account. Six weeks after Dec. 11 is Jan. 22, 2012. And keep in mind that any miles in excess of the miles needed to requalify for elite status will rollover to the next year so if the miles post early but you don’t need them, you’ll have some extra MQMs for 2012. Delta SkyMiles offered a similar promotion last year where members could earn 500 MQMs, which makes this offer less generous than last year’s.
