Amtrak Guest Rewards members can earn bonus points for rail travel, car rentals, hotel stays and shopping with program partners this summer. From now until Aug. 31, 2009, members can earn 100 bonus points for coach class travel, 200 bonus points for business class and 400 bonus points for first class travel on all trains on all routes. Rent or share a car with Budget, Dav El, Hertz or Zipcar and you can receive 100 bonus points. Earn 200 bonus points when staying with a hotel partner, including Choice, Hilton, Hyatt, Omni, Starwood and Wyndham and 100 bonus points for completing a transaction with Amtrak’s other point-earning partners, such as Teleflora, Vinesse Wine Clubs, TD Ameritrade or Points for Shopping (Amtrak’s online shopping mall).

You can only earn one bonus for each unique partner transaction and a minimum of $50 is required for shopping purchases ($100 minimum for Samsonite purchases).
