Beginning July 9, 2009, US Airways customers who do not pay for checked bags when checking in online will be charged an extra $5 service fee to check their first and second bag at the airport. So, if you pay online when you check in online, the cost will be $15 for the first bag and $25 for the second bag. If you wait to pay for your checked bag at the airport, the cost will be $20 for the first bag and $30 for the second.

As before, Dividend Miles Preferred members are exempt from the checked bag fees along with those on a transatlantic flight, confirmed-at-check-in first class or Envoy, active duty military personnel, unaccompanied minors or if you’re checking an assistive device.
