IHG and Starwood are ready for round two in … Hotel Wars. This time, it’s not about the bonus points, it’s all about the free nights. Think of this as even faster free nights. First up is SPG Free Weekends. Members who stay two times at any of Starwood’s hotels between May 1 and July 31, 2009 can earn one free weekend night (Friday, Saturday or Sunday). There are no limits to the number of free weekend nights that can be earned, and earned nights can be combined to make a longer weekend stay. The nights are redeemable without blackout dates through the end of September. This promotion has been offered by Starwood in the past and we believe it was their most popular promotion ever. Members who stay any two nights at any of IHG’s hotels between May 4 and July 31, 2009 can earn one free night. Members can earn up to four free nights for use between July 3 and Dec. 26, 2009.
