WorldPerks has joined other frequent flyer programs in broadcasting select award travel destinations and city pairs in an attempt to help members secure the awards they are seeking. Look for these notices to appear in your electronic statements.
We welcome the efforts of programs to alert members of open award markets such as these from WorldPerks:
Note: We are stumbling on the idea that all of the programs seem only to be able to forecast this information a month or so in advance. As many frequent flyers know, the earliest bird often gets the award, and even the programs themselves point out that planning early can help members find award availability. Might we suggest that programs look back at award redemption patterns from years past and do their forecasting from there. Making additional seats available in advance, rather than only offering the left overs available, will please the members, and frankly make for a more valuable program.
