Marriott Picks Up The Honeymoon Tab

Marriott Picks Up The Honeymoon Tab

Marriott Rewards is picking up the honeymoon tab for couples who hold their wedding reception at a participating Marriott or Renaissance hotel worldwide on a Friday or Sunday between Jan. 1 and Sept. 30, 2006. Couples must book their wedding between Nov. 1, 2005 and March 30, 2006.

With the “Rewarding Weddings” program, couples will receive the following Marriott Rewards points for money spent on their reception food and beverage:

  • $15,000 will receive 150,000 points, enough points for six nights at a category six hotel, including JW Marriott Resort Cancun, JW Marriott Orlando Grande Lakes and the Wailea Marriott Resort in Hawaii.
  • $20,000 will receive 200,000 Marriott Rewards points, enough points for a seven-day Carnival Cruise to the Caribbean, round-trip rail tours on the Orient Express, or seven nights divided among any three Marriott resorts in Hawaii.
  • $25,000 will receive 250,000 Marriott Rewards points, enough points for a week-long complete package, including seven nights at any participating Marriott International hotel in the U.S. and Europe, frequent flyer miles and 25 percent off a Hertz car rental.

Points will be awarded when the contract is signed before the event is held, so couples can use them for their honeymoons.

Rewarding Weddings is subject to terms and conditions. Beginning September 20, more information on participating locations and terms and conditions can be found by logging onto http://www.Marriott.com/RewardingWeddings or call 1-800-831-4004.

Marriott also has trained over 2,000 Certified Wedding Event Planners who can assist with scheduling and planning details or work directly with the couple’s outside wedding planner. Marriott Certified Wedding Event Planners are on-site at Marriott and Renaissance hotels and resorts throughout the U.S. and the Caribbean.

OK, as if some of you really needed a reason to get married? A whole new meaning to the phrase, “Was it love or was it the points?”
