InterContinental Hotels Group has announced plans to assist disaster relief efforts in Florida and across the southeastern United States in the wakes of hurricanes Charley, Frances and Ivan.

IHG will encourage the 22 million members of Priority Club Rewards to donate their points to the ongoing disaster relief efforts of the American Red Cross. The points will be converted into dollars and matched by IHG up to $100,000.

Through Oct. 31, members may contribute their Priority Club Rewards points in increments of 10,000 points, to the American Red Cross by going to http://www.priorityclub.com.

Donations will be used to provide temporary shelter and other relief supplies for the people directly impacted by the recent hurricanes as well as American Red Cross disaster relief workers.
