Whether it’s spring, summer, fall or winter, Alaska Airlines offers its Mileage Plan members the opportunity to cash in on award travel at discounted rates. Though often the award destinations are limited to selected destinations, this is not always the case. For example, last spring the City of Roses award sale was a big hit for members who could redeem 13,000 miles for an award trip to Portland. And Mileage Plan did not forget its valued members who reside in Portland; they were allowed to book award tickets at the discounted rate for travel to other cities.

As summer came and went, so too did many Mileage Plan members, as they could travel between the great Northwest and the sunny Southwest for only 13,000 miles.

Now that winter has set in most everywhere in the U.S. (except for Southern California), it only makes sense that the Winter Award Sale offers discounted award travel to that balmy clime.

The current award sale, which once again offers members award tickets for 13,000 miles, allows for travel between cities served by Alaska or Horizon Air in Montana, Idaho, Washington, Oregon and Los Angeles. The Winter Award Sale is good for travel through March 16, at which time the good people at Mileage Plan will no doubt come out with another award sale.
