The rebates from airline portals aren’t always competitive with cashback websites such as Topcashback. But this can change when a bonus offer is available. Three such interesting offers are available now:

Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan

Alaska Mileage Plan Shopping is offering 500 bonus miles if you spend $200+ through the portal before Wednesday, June 22, 2022.

How to Easily Meet the Spend Targets

Marriott is now available through Alaska Mileage Plan’s shopping portal. You can earn 1 mile per $ spent.  The same applies to the United shopping portal.

The question comes up occasionally, so I’ll be as clear as possible. When you use a cashback website or airline shopping portal to click through to a hotel chain website, you are definitely booking DIRECT and qualifying to earn points, elite status credit, etc.

And, naturally, you don’t have to actually stay at the hotel during the period of the bonus mile promotion. What matters is the date of making the reservation…
