Hyatt Gold Passport Platinum and Diamond members have been able to take advantage of the “My Elite Rate” at Hyatt hotels, offering 20 percent off the regular rate. But as of the new year, this offer has ended. Hyatt says that the rate was a beta test for 2014 and the results from the test did not warrant a permanent rollout.

Another small change for elites is that the bed type guarantee will no longer offer 5,000 bonus points if they are not able to give you the bed type you wish for. But not many people got the bonus because they are almost always able to give you to type of bed you want. Now, all members will be guaranteed the type of bed they want.
