Southwest and AirTran FFPs Merge

As the integration of Southwest Rapid Rewards and AirTran A+ Rewards progresses, here are some reminders:

– As of Nov. 2, 2014, Rapid Rewards will be the loyalty program of the combined airline.

– Sept. 30, 2014 will be the last day to earn and redeem with A+ Rewards partners (Hertz, e-Miles and e-Rewards).

– Existing A+ Rewards Chase cardmembers will begin earning Rapid Rewards points in late October and more details about these cardholders receiving a new Southwest Airlines branded card will be forthcoming prior to the end of October.

– Your A+ credits continue to be valid and can be redeemed on AirTran flights until Nov. 1, 2014. After that date, any A+ Rewards credits that have not expired will be converted to Rapid Rewards points at a ratio of one A+ Rewards credit to 1,200 Rapid Rewards points.
