Through Dec. 6, 2014, American AAdvantage members can earn up to 100,000 bonus miles for nonstop roundtrip flights between Dallas/Fort Worth and Hong Kong or Shanghai or between Chicago O’Hare and Shanghai. Members must register prior to travel using the code ASIA2 at http://insideflyerus.wpengine.com/link/?11585 Bonus miles are awarded based on the booking class purchased and can be earned on a maximum of four roundtrips.

Members will earn 25,000 bonus miles for roundtrip flights in first or business class (F, A, P, J, D, I or R), 10,000 bonus miles for roundtrip flights in economy (Y, B, H, K, M, L or V) and 5,000 bonus miles for roundtrip flights in discount economy (G, S, N, or Q). The promotion includes travel on codeshare flights marketed by US Airways and operated by American Airlines, but does not include flights operated by other codeshare partners. Bonus miles do not count toward elite status qualification or AAdvantage Million Miler status.

Bottom line: One good aspect of this bonus is that members can earn a bonus for discount economy flights. Similar recent bonuses only allowed earning a bonus when purchasing full-fare economy flights and above.
