As of last month, Delta Sky Clubs will no longer offer guest privileges to Alaska Board Room members. Instead, Board Room members may purchase a discounted $29 day pass for up to two guests at any Delta operated Sky Club location.
New Board Room memberships are $450 for one year or $375 for MVP members or $295 for Gold and Gold 75K members. Spouse/domestic partner memberships are $250 for one year; and renewals are less, except for Gold and Gold 1K members.
Bottom line: Board Room members and as many as two guests have free access to all partner airline lounges, except Delta Sky Clubs. Delta and Alaska are having a very public battle for Seattle and even though the two airlines remain partners, the partnership is strained, which leads to frequent flyers losing out. As of last month, Alaska Mileage Plan elite members no longer get a free checked bag when flying Delta, among other changes.
