Lufthansa has determined that Miles & More will be more successful as a stand alone company and “will become more attractive for customers through additional program partners,” according to a statement released by the airline.
The new company, called Miles & More International GmbH, will take care of the 25 million members of the loyalty program, as long as the shareholders agree to the outsourcing of the program. The subsidiary Lufthansa WorldShop GmbH will be merged with the new company.
