In this month’s Award Watch we write about the change Wyndham Rewards recently made to the program’s redemption amounts for frequent flyer miles being cut in half without warning. Members are also reporting that they are seeing a new Category 9 redemption level for 50,000 points to top the current Category 8 level of 30,000 points even though Wyndham’s website still displays only eight categories.

Bottom line: Wyndham has been known to introduce changes without warning but at press time, it’s too early to know if a Category 9 will officially be announced.
