Starwood Preferred Guest has partnered with Caesars Entertainment and SPG members can now earn and redeem points when staying at participating Caesars Entertainment hotels in Las Vegas, Atlantic City, Lake Tahoe, Reno and New Orleans. Members will earn two points for every $1 charged to their hotel folio at Caesars Entertainment hotels, up to a maximum of 100,000 points per year, and earn credit toward SPG elite qualification for paid and award nights at Caesars, up to a maximum of 10 nights per year. Elite nights earned at Caesars are only eligible to meet Gold and Platinum requirements and will not count toward lifetime Gold or Platinum status. To be eligible for these benefits, you must be a member of both SPG and Caesars Total Rewards and register for SPG-Total Rewards at http://www.spg.com/caesars.
Caesars Total Rewards members can redeem credits for stays at Starwood Hotels & Resorts and Platinum, Diamond and Seven Stars members are eligible to earn credits for Starwood stays. You can link your Starwood and Caesars accounts at http://www.TotalRewards.com/SPG to be eligible. In addition to earning SPG points for stays, Total Rewards members who have Platinum status or above in the Total Rewards program will also earn one Reward Credit for every $1 spent and 100 Tier Credits per stay, up to a maximum of 2,500 Tier Credits per year, on SPG paid stays. Redemption stays will not earn Tier Credits. Seven Stars members in the Total Rewards program who register for SPG-Total Rewards will also receive complimentary Gold SPG elite status.
Bottom line: The partnership between Caesars and SPG does not include reciprocal elite benefits. Seven Stars members in the Total Rewards program receive Gold SPG status but SPG elite members do not receive status or elite recognition in the Total Rewards program. In order to earn points and credits when staying at SPG properties, Caesars Total Rewards members must be at the Platinum level or above. Entry-level Gold members will not earn points or credits for SPG stays.
