JetBlue TrueBlue members who have elite status in one of the U.S. legacy carriers can apply for a status match with JetBlue Mosaic. Through Aug. 31, 2013, frequent flyers can sign up for the TrueBlue Mosaic Challenge to be eligible to receive Mosaic after earning 3,750 base points within 90 days. Members who have American AAdvantage Gold or higher, Delta SkyMiles Medallion Silver or higher, US Airways Dividend Miles Preferred Silver or United MileagePlus Premier Silver or higher elite status are eligible to apply. Only those points earned after you have been accepted into the elite fast track challenge will be counted toward the TrueBlue Mosaic Challenge. Once accepted, members will have 90 days to earn 3,750 base points, the equivalent of $1,250 spent on base fares. JetBlue Mosaic members receive waived change and cancellation fees, complimentary Even More Space seats, two free checked bags, expedited security access, early boarding, a dedicated customer service line and an additional three bonus points per dollar spent on JetBlue flights.
Bottom line: Mosaic normally requires members to earn 12,000 points ($4,000 spent on base fares) plus 30 segments or 15,000 points ($5,000 spent on base fares). Members who qualify for the Mosaic Challenge can earn elite benefits for around a third of the cost.
