Business Travel News released the results of their 2012 Hotel Chain Survey and this year, Starwood’s St. Regis and Luxury Collection hotels came out on top, beating out last year’s winner, Four Seasons. The St. Regis and Luxury Collection received a 5.31 score, on a one-to-six scale in up to 13 categories. Categories included hotel appearance, quality of business and other amenities in the rooms, quality of business centers, helpfulness and courtesy of the staff and overall price and value.
In second place was Ritz-Carlton followed by Waldorf Astoria and Mandarin Oriental. Other winners included Starwood’s W Hotels for upper-upscale hotels; Embassy Suites for upscale hotels; Hyatt Place for select service hotels; Hampton Inn for mid-price hotels; Hyatt Summerfield Suites for upscale extended-stay hotels and TownePlace Suites for mid-price extended-stay hotels.
