ExpertFlyer.com is a paid subscription service that provides flight information for revenue and award flights. The site recently added an additional 20 airlines to their award and upgrade search. The online search tool will now search for all Star Alliance airlines and subscribers can also perform a search across all Star Alliance carriers at once. Previously, you could only search each airline individually when looking for awards. Click “Star Alliance” at the top of the airline list in the award and upgrade search to show results from any Star Alliance airline. The Star Alliance search will only show you whether seats are available or not, to view the number of seats, you will need to search for awards individually by airline. The Star Alliance search will not display every possible routing, so it may be useful to piece together an itinerary by searching segment by segment.
