Chase Ultimate Rewards members can now link their eligible Chase card to their Amazon.com account and redeem their points for Amazon purchases. When redeeming points, 100 Ultimate Rewards points equals $1 at Amazon.com.
Go to http://insideflyerus.wpengine.com/link/?7729 to sign in to your Amazon.com account and link your Chase credit card. Eligible cards include Chase Freedom, Chase Sapphire, Chase Sapphire Preferred, Ink Bold, Ink Cash, Ink Classic, Ink Plus, Chase Corporate Flex Card, J.P. Morgan Palladium Card and J.P. Morgan Select Card. After linking your accounts, you will have the option of using your Ultimate Rewards points at checkout and you can choose how many points you’d like to redeem, if any, to pay for all or a portion of your purchase.
Bottom line: Being able to redeem Ultimate Rewards points for Amazon.com purchases may come in handy, but you’ll get a fixed value of only $.01 per point. It’s a convenient way to use points but members can get a much better deal when converting their points to airline miles or hotel points and redeeming for free flights and hotel stays. Convert 100,000 points to 100,000 United MileagePlus miles and fly roundtrip to anywhere in Europe in business class or you can do your holiday shopping at Amazon.com and get $1,000 in free gifts.
