Red Lion R&R Club has changed the way R&R Club points expire. Effective Oct. 1, 2012, points will expire on a rolling 24-month basis. In the past, a membership account would expire if there was no activity for four years. To help ease in the new requirements, Red Lion R&R Club is offering a grace period for active members with stays this year prior to Oct. 1, 2012–all of the points in your account will not expire until Dec. 31, 2014. If you did not have a stay this year before Oct. 1, your points will expire 24 months from the date they were earned. You can read more information about this change at http://www.redlion.com/points
Bottom line: What this means going forward is that R&R Club points will expire 24 months from the transaction date listed on your stay record and you will need to spend the points before they expire or you will lose them. Furthermore, expired points cannot be reinstated. This is not good news for more infrequent Red Lion guests, and members will now need to be more vigilant to watch for upcoming points expiration. Two years rolls around very quickly.
