Marriott Rewards members can now make reservations that include a combination of paid nights and award nights. Previously, if members wanted to book a stay that included nights paid with points and nights paid with cash, they needed to book two separate reservations.

Bottom line: Marriott Rewards is calling the new booking option Cash + Points, but the name is somewhat misleading. Cash and points bookings with other hotel loyalty programs, including Priority Club, SPG, Club Carlson and Hilton HHonors, refer to the ability to combine cash and points to pay for a hotel stay. Marriott’s Cash + Points simply means that members now have a convenient way to book one reservation that includes paid and award nights.
