Virgin America recently conducted an online survey that provides a hint to what members might expect from the program in the future. Although we do not have the results of the survey, we found the following questions rather interesting. Such as: “We are continually evaluating new Elevate airline partners for future growth. Which other airlines would you like us to consider?” This question was followed by a list of 19 airlines with a blank to fill in “other”. Only one U.S.-based airline was listed, Hawaiian Airlines. A few others listed were Air New Zealand, Cathay Pacific Airways, El Al, Emirates, JAL, Qantas, South African Airways and Thai Airways.
Another question we found of particular interest was, “When considering airline perks, please rank the following features in order of importance to you.” And the options included: advance purchase window to buy upgrades to Main Cabin Select (MCS) or first class, baggage waiver, complimentary upgrade to MCS or first class, Elevate points for in-flight purchases, lounge/club access and more, including another “other” space for Elevate members to fill in.
