Marriott Rewards members can now redeem points or a combination of points and cash for airline tickets on over 400 airlines and for car rentals with Hertz. We searched for a coach flight between New York and Los Angeles at the end of February and the cheapest price we found was 68,000 points on Delta or Virgin America, which includes taxes and fees. A car rental in Los Angeles was available starting at 12,800 points per day. When redeeming points and cash, a minimum of 14,000 points must be used.
