Club Carlson members who redeem their points for a stay through Jan. 31, 2012 will get a 9,000-point rebate (enough for a free award night).
Redeem at participating worldwide Radisson, Country Inns & Suites By Carlson, Park Inn by Radisson and Park Plaza hotels property and you will receive a point rebate of 9,000 bonus points per award stay, up to 45,000 bonus points (five stays). Members can earn the bonus on award nights paid for with Gold Points only (excluding Points + Cash award nights) for one or more consecutive nights. Members must register at http://insideflyerus.wpengine.com/link/?5664 before checkout of the first qualifying award stay and provide their Club Carlson number when making reservations. Bonus Gold Points will be credited to the Member’s account by Feb. 15, 2012.
Bottom line: Any time a program offers discounted award nights or point rebates is a good time to consider redeeming your points. And this promotion comes on the heels of Club Carlson’s last promotion where members could earn 50,000 bonus points for staying one night. If you book an award night at a category 1 hotel for 9,000 points, you’ll receive a full rebate, but you may have a difficult time finding a property–there are only 22 category 1 hotels in the United States. Some category 1 hotels include Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, Albuquerque Airport, NM; Park Inn DFW Airport South, Texas and international properties such as Park Inn Central Tallinn, Estonia; Park Inn Pribaltiyskaya, St. Petersburg, Russia and Phoenix Park Inn Resort in Goa, India, plus many more. Redeem 15,000 points for a category 2 hotel and you’ll get 60 percent of your points back, which is still a really good deal.
