Blackstone Group, which owns Hilton Worldwide, has purchased Mint Hotels and will rebrand the properties as Doubletree and Garden Inn brands. There are eight four-star Mint Hotels located in the U.K. and Amsterdam with properties in London, Birmingham, Bristol, Glasgow, Leeds and Manchester. Mint Hotels opened a property in Amsterdam earlier this year that is located on the riverfront and next to Central Station. Hilton HHonors members will be able to earn and redeem miles for stays at the newly acquired hotels. The hotel award categories have not yet been announced.
