Chase is offering a 50,000-points bonus for those who obtain the Chase Sapphire Preferred card and spend at least $3,000 in the first three months. The bonus of 50,000 points is worth $625 toward airfare or hotel accommodations. The $95 fee is waived the first year and cardholders will earn one point for every $1 charged for most purchases, two points per $1 for travel purchased through Chase Ultimate Rewards and up to 10 points per $1 for purchases at the Ultimate Rewards Mall. Cardholders also receive a rebate of seven percent of the points earned during the year. There are no foreign transaction fees and points can be transferred 1:1 in the loyalty programs of British Airways, Continental Airlines, Hyatt, InterContinental, Marriott and Amtrak. The offer is available for first-time cardmembers with new accounts and no end-date has been announced, but the promotion may change or be cancelled at any time.
