As part of Priority Club Rewards recent changes, the program will be introducing new award options.

Last Minute Rewards Nights are discounted awards where members can redeem points for award nights at a 50 percent discount at select properties. A list of properties will be sent to members via email on Monday for stays the following weekend on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. The Last Minute Rewards nights will initially be offered the first full weekend of every month, starting on May 6, 7 and 8, 2011.

The program is also introducing Points & Cash merchandise awards. While members can currently redeem a combination of points and cash for hotel award stays, this option will now include merchandise as well and is expected to rollout globally in late 2011.

Downloadable media will also be offered as a new award option and members can redeem points for songs, eBooks, mobile games and applications and computer software.

Members in the U.S., Canada and U.K. will be able to redeem points to enter a “Lucky Points” Sweepstakes. For 100 or 200 points per entry, members can take a gamble and try to win prizes, such as hotel packages (for example, four nights at the InterContinental Times Square — New York), merchandise (for example, iPads) or one million Priority Club points. Typically, members will have six to eight different prize draws to choose from.
