United Mileage Plus added hotel and car awards to their award schedule, and now members can spend their miles on one-way awards and Miles & Money awards. The one-way awards are half the amount of a roundtrip award. The Miles & Money awards will be available on select roundtrip Saver awards in coach. Bottom line: We always like to see flexibility added to award schedules so we welcome United’s latest efforts. We especially like that they decided to take the high road on the one-way awards and charge half of a roundtrip unlike some programs that charge more than half of a roundtrip for their one-way awards.
