New Norwegian FFP

New Norwegian FFP

Norway has a new FFP kid on the block. Oslo-based Norwegian, a major low-cost carrier in Europe that serves 87 destinations, recently launched a frequent flyer program. With Norwegian Reward, members earn two percent CashPoints on all coach tickets and 10 percent on Fullflex tickets on all international flights. CashPoints are earned based on the base price of the ticket (excluding taxes, duties and additional charges). Domestic flights within Norway do not earn CashPoints. Each CashPoint is worth NOK 1 and can be redeemed for full or partial payment of all Norwegian purchases, including flights, baggage charges or flight changes. CashPoints are valid until the end of the year you made your purchase (not flight date) plus two years. For example, CashPoints earned for a flight that was paid for on Sept. 1, 2009 expire on Jan. 31, 2011. Membership is open to adults and children over the age of 12 and CashPoints cannot be pooled between accounts.

Norwegian Reward also has a Corporate Reward program where companies can earn and redeem CashPoints for business travel. Corporate members earn three percent CashPoints on low fare tickets and seven percent CashPoints on full flex tickets. These percentages can increase if the company meets certain spending thresholds. If allowed by the company, employees can also earn personal CashPoints on corporate travel. To read more about this new FFP, visit http://insideflyerus.wpengine.com/link/?2079
